MetroStage
MetroStage is a professional not-for-profit theater dedicated to producing plays by established and emerging playwrights, which are chosen for their social, political, literary and entertainment value. MetroStage offers a season of main stage productions, a Sunday cabaret series, family theater, and FirstStage, a series of staged readings presented as part of the theater's commitment to the development of new work.
Located in Old Town Alexandria, MetroStage presents challenging contemporary American plays and musicals and premieres new works by Washington area and regional playwrights. Always current, MetroStage's work speaks to the concerns and passions of our time by showcasing the dynamic writing and performances of the best contemporary local and regional artists.
