ShowBizRadio’s Reviews of the 2008 WATCH Award Nominees

By Laura & Mike Clark • Feb 7th, 2008 • Category: News

These are the ShowBizradio reviews of the 2007 shows that were nominated for a WATCH award. We reviewed 39 of the 46 nominated productions. Excellent work all around, and congratulations to the nominees. Get your tickets for the March 2nd awards ceremony now, available at The Birchmere box office (in person) or TicketMaster (by phone/web, service charge will apply). The list is in chronologic order; the number in parenthesis at the end of each line is the number of nominations the production earned.

Shows that received a nomination, but ShowBizRadio was unable to review:

  • Moon For The Misbegotten, Colonial Players (1)
  • You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Montgomery Playhouse (1)
  • Twelfth Night, Providence Players(2)
  • Sweeney Todd, Kensington Arts Theatre (4) (Although we did publish an interview with Patricia Woolsey, director of the show)
  • A Delicate Balance, Elden Street Players (2)
  • Kindertransport, Colonial Players (2)
  • 1940’s Radio Hour, Port Tobacco Players (3)

Laura & Mike Clark: started ShowBizRadio in August 2005 because they love live theater. We are both working towards a Theater certificate from Northern Virginia Community College.
